Welcome to Patchwork Penny
Hi, I’m Penny! Quilting has always been a passion of mine, but so has family, cooking, and learning new things—even in my golden years.
As a mother of three grown children, a grandma, and even a great-grandma, I’ve spent a lifetime surrounded by love, tradition, and creativity. Over the years, I’ve built countless memories around fabric, stitching, and crafting—not just through quilts, but through handmade gifts, cozy home decor, and projects that bring warmth into everyday life.
Patchwork Penny: Quilting with Heart & Resourcefulness
I created Patchwork Penny because I believe quilting should be accessible, creative, and budget-friendly. Whether you’re crafting a quilt for loved ones, making a cozy home accent, or stitching up a thoughtful handmade gift, my goal is to help quilters—new and experienced—work smarter, stretch their supplies, and embrace creativity without breaking the bank.
A Life of Creativity Beyond Quilting
Alongside quilting, I’m an avid cook and recipe collector—always on the lookout for new dishes to try and flavors to share with family and friends. Food, much like quilting, is about bringing people together and creating something meaningful.
Recently, I’ve taken on a new adventure—desert gardening in Arizona. It’s vastly different from my gardening days in Indiana, but I’m learning to embrace the challenge, just like I do with quilting. There’s something rewarding about nurturing plants in the dry heat, adapting to new conditions, and watching a garden grow despite the odds—it reminds me a lot of quilting itself!
Let’s Quilt, Learn, and Create Together
Patchwork Penny is more than just a quilting blog—it’s a space where creativity thrives, where resourcefulness meets passion, and where crafting connects generations.
I’d love to hear from you—whether you’re a quilter, a fellow creative, or just someone who loves the beauty of handmade projects, this is a place for inspiration, ideas, and community.
Thank you for being here, and welcome to Patchwork Penny—where every stitch tells a story!
